The way families experience their child's education at one of five California locations—Palo Alto, Piedmont, downtown San Francisco, La Jolla, or South Bay (Los Angeles)—will be shaped by your presence. Alpha is constructing a fundamentally different school. Students finish their core academics in two hours per day through AI-powered platforms, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and real-world application. You will steward that dialogue over the long term. Not only during enrollment, but across multiple years. You will speak with fluency about AI—its mechanics, its shortcomings, and its significance—particularly with families who run companies, fund them, or demand precision in every choice. If you are unable to sustain that caliber of discussion, this role will feel burdensome. If you can, it becomes one of the most intellectually stimulating positions in education. This is not client account management. This is sustained trust-building with ultra-high-net-worth families who require discretion, judgment, and reliability. What You Will Be Doing Steward the entire relationship with each family on campus, cultivating trust that grows over time Identify concerns before they elevate and address them with discretion, urgency, and clear judgment Sustain strong visibility at critical moments: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and curated parent gatherings Facilitate ongoing, substantive dialogue about Alpha's AI-powered model with highly analytical, tech-literate families Develop and refine community experiences that foster belonging, advocacy, and sustained referral activity What You Won’t Be Doing Overseeing admissions pipelines or enrollment metrics—your work begins once families have joined Operating from behind a desk or relying solely on email—this is a high-visibility role Reciting scripted answers or avoiding difficult questions about AI or education philosophy Depending on established frameworks—you will create systems in areas where none currently exist Viewing families as transactional accounts—this role values judgment over task execution Director Of Family Engagement Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain deep trust with ultra-high-net-worth families, ensuring sustained retention, active advocacy, and ongoing confidence in Alpha's AI-driven educational approach.
