Job Summary:

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-operative cardiac surgery, ECMO support, and other critical cardiac interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewiston, Maine


• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred, minimum of 2 years of experience with more than 1 year recent CVICU experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.


• Preferred Qualifications: Open heart training preferred, CCRN certification preferred.


• Float: Must be flexible to float where needed, which could include Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical-Surgical (MS), Telemetry (Tele), and Emergency Room (ER).


• Additional Information: No local candidates preferred. Must have open heart training experience, with expertise in handling equipment such as Impella, Balloon pump, ECMO/Tandem Heart, ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, and extensive safe-patient handling equipment.
