RN - PeriAnesthesia

We are currently hiring for an RN - PeriAnesthesia. 0.5 FTE, Day Shift - 10-hour shifts (staggered start/end times) with shift times starting from 6:00 am to 10:00 am with end times ending as late as 8:30 pm. Both weekday and weekend on-call shifts are required for this position. Pediatric PeriAnesthesia experience preferred. Benefit eligible position!

This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families. Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient's condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams.

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $43.28 to $73.97/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field, education, and certification/licensure. $1.75 weekend/ $2.35 evening/night differential is available for this position. • Patient Care Delivers patient care which optimizes the patient's health status and outcomes through the use of the nursing process.
• Family centered care - Provides nursing care and health education reflecting specific patient, family, cultural and community needs.
• Autonomous Practice Exercises independent judgment that influences care and demonstrates understanding of potential clinical implications.

Qualifications

Required

• Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Must be interested in working with people with short term or long-term disabilities that begin in childhood.
• Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the position. In certain departments, this will include being part of the off-premises call schedule.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare related field.
• Prior nursing experience in a health-related setting
• Nursing Specialty Certification relevant to the position
