Finance Manager for PB Financial Services
UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: The Finance Manager for PB Financial Services is responsible for oversight of the department's operational budget. Additionally, the position oversees functions including refunds, EFT-ERA Enrollment, Vendor Contracts and payment posting. The manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day unit activities and approximately 18 direct and indirect reports. Oversees and participates in the most complex projects and deals directly with major department managers. Provides direction according to established policies and management guidance.

Required Qualifications: Proven ability to deal with changing priorities and direct the work of others accordingly. Ability to multi-task. Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Extensive knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems, budgeting and reporting techniques, accounting and bookkeeping. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Client services oriented; has good listening, communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheet and database software. Ability to prepare and present materials to internal and external constituents. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System 7-10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications: Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Solid understanding of financial and resource planning concepts as well as how to control organizational budgeting. Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Extensive knowledge of human resource policies, practices, and planning. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across the organization at all levels. Demonstrated ability to screen applications, interview candidates, and either make selection decisions or recommend individuals for hire.
