About Us

CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates is a 100% cash-based outpatient rehab clinic in downtown Portsmouth, NH. For 10 years, we've helped adults 40+ stay active, mobile, and out of the surgery, injection, and medication cycle.

Our clientele is mostly in their 40s and up. They're active. Intelligent. Curious. They ask great questions and have a vested interest in having agency over their health, movement, and longevity.

They don't just want their pain to go away. They want to understand what's happening, get stronger, stay active, and keep doing the things that matter to them for decades to come.

Honestly - our clients are the best.

Our clinical model integrates:

• Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT / McKenzie Method)

• Hands-on treatment and movement-based rehabilitation

• Pilates-based rehab using the tower, chair, and reformer

• Strength and progressive exercise

• Regenerative therapies including Shockwave (EPAT/ESWT) and EMTT

You don't need experience in all of these to apply. We provide structured training and mentorship.

What you do need is curiosity, high standards, and a desire to become an exceptional rehab clinician - not simply someone who adjusts people.

You'll work alongside PTs who evaluate movement, use hands-on treatment, prescribe progressive exercise, integrate Pilates and strength training, and think beyond simply getting someone out of pain.

We want you bringing the strengths of your chiropractic training into that environment.

That might include manual therapy and manipulation. But those should be tools in your toolbox - not your entire treatment philosophy.

You'll be expected to assess the whole person, think critically, educate clients, progress exercise, collaborate with other clinicians, and ultimately help people become less dependent on treatment - not more dependent on it.

You'll learn how to confidently explain what you see, communicate a plan, talk about value and pricing, and help clients make good decisions about their care.

There's no insurance company deciding how many visits someone gets or whether their treatment is "medically necessary."

Your Role

• Evaluate orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions using a mechanical, movement-focused approach

• Use manual therapy and manipulation when clinically appropriate - not as the default answer for every client

• Prescribe and progress exercise, strength, mobility, and movement-based rehab

• Learn to integrate Pilates-based rehabilitation and regenerative therapies into client care

• Educate clients so they understand what's happening and what they can do about it

• Own your client outcomes, retention, and long-term results

• Collaborate closely with our PTs and other members of the clinical team

• Show up fully for our Tuesday training blocks and mentorship

• Contribute ideas and help us build the next version of CJPT

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Chiropractor in New Hampshire or license-eligible

• Strong interest in orthopedic, sports, and movement-based rehabilitation

• Comfortable with hands-on treatment and manipulation

• Excited to develop stronger exercise prescription and rehabilitation skills

• Curious about MDT, Pilates-based rehab, Shockwave, EMTT, and regenerative therapies

• Strong communicator and educator

• Accountable, coachable, curious, and a real team player

New grads are welcome.

We'd rather hire someone with the right mindset and clinical curiosity and train the rest than hire someone with 15 certifications who isn't open to doing things differently.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary based on experience and prior con-ed

• $250/month toward company-sponsored health insurance
