As a Cook Short Order working in a dynamic food truck environment, you will prepare a variety of classic American diner dishes, breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, and Greek street food. You will be part of a small kitchen team focused on delivering high-quality food with excellent presentation while maintaining strict food safety standards. This role offers flexible morning and afternoon shifts and opportunities for advancement into management within the kitchen or broader restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, and Greek street food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food truck
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices
- Provide exceptional customer service during food preparation and service
- Present food attractively and consistently to meet quality standards
- Collaborate effectively within a small kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Adapt to flexible shift schedules, including mornings and afternoons
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in short order cooking
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and certifications
- Proficient knife skills
- Strong time management abilities
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Effective communication skills within the kitchen and with customers
