Position System Administrator 2 – supports one of our government clients in Annapolis Junction, MD. Responsibilities Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. Support IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Minimum Qualifications Linux MongoDB AWS – Cloud experience Kubernetes Terraform Ansible DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher. 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or five years of additional SA experience may be substituted). Preferred Qualifications Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Assist users in accessing and using IT systems. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution (U). Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, perform system capacity analysis and planning. In‑depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX, Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Compensation $130,000 – $145,000 per year (general guideline only; not a guarantee of compensation). Additional factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, and other laws.
