System Administrator 3 with Security Clearance

DCCA, a veteran‑owned IT business with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support its mission‑critical operations. Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Key Tasks Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Manage day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Support dispatch system and hardware issues and remain involved in resolution. Configure and manage Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems, installing and maintaining OS software, and implementing enhancements for reliability and performance. Optimize system operations, assess resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning. Required Skills Experience supporting multiple operating systems such as Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows environments. Experience with virtualization, including VMware. Ability to create, write, and modify scripts (bash, Perl, shell, Python, etc.). Desired Skills Familiarity with networking concepts or background in network administration. Required Education / Certifications Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of related experience, or 20 years of experience as a System Administrator without a degree. Security+ certification required. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position in Maryland is $155,000 to $213,000.
