The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in Hospice or end-of-life care. Read below for more requirements.As an LPN in Hospice care, you will provide compassionate nursing care to patients facing terminal illnesses. Working closely with the hospice team, you will focus on managing symptoms, providing comfort, and supporting patients and their families through the end-of-life journey.As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Administer medications and treatments to manage pain and symptomsMonitor vital signs and assess changes in patient conditionAssist with personal care and activities of daily livingProvide emotional support and education to patients and familiesCoordinate care with interdisciplinary hospice team membersEnsure documentation of nursing care and patient status is accurate and timelyAssist with advance care planning and patient advocacyMaintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patientsFollow infection control and safety protocolsRespect patient dignity, privacy, and cultural preferencesThe ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in a Hospice setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.LPNs in Hospice must be compassionate, empathetic, and skilled at providing holistic care focused on quality of life.Requirements*: BLS, 2 Years * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
