Our client is a well-established and growing CCBHC looking for a Full Time Lifespan Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for their clinics in the New York, NY area. This is a hybrid role, 3 days on site, 2 days remote.Preferred QualificationsExperienced with patients who have Serious Mental Illness, children and adults.Experienced with co-occurring substance use disorders.Experienced with MOUD.RequirementsMaster's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.Currently licensed in New York State as an Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. (3600 hours complete)Active DEA Number (NYS)Experience working with children and adults.Currently enrolled in NY Medicaid and Medicare.ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced psychiatric nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a psychiatrist (if required due to state collaborative practice agreement guidelines).Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adults and adolescents (ages 7-21), including psychosocial, developmental, and trauma histories.Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria and support the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and intervention when clinically indicated.Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices when working with children, adolescents, and families.Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while assessing therapeutic response and side effects.Manage Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for substance use disorders in alignment with program and regulatory standards.The compensation scale listed is a general salary range and is not intended to represent the actual annual or hourly compensation rate for this role.
