A Solar Sales Associate is expected to routinely and efficiently reach out to new leads that are generated through our marketing departments efforts, as well as sourcing leads through means of self-effort. A Sales Associate has great communication skills, organization skills, persuasion skills, with a focus on customer service. They are knowledgeable in the fundamentals of solar energy for both residential, commercial systems, off-grid system, battery backup systems, etc. A Solar Sales Associate at United Solar Solutions is goal-oriented, self-motivated, working well in team settings as well as independently. Key Responsibilities Help homeowners and business owners understand the benefits of solar energy and guide them to making an informed decision. Engage with new potential customers, conduct virtual and on-site consultations, effectively tailor a solar solution to best fit their need based on site specific conditions (i.e. utility provider, shading, available roof space, local AHJ requirements, etc.) Understand and be able to effectively communicate the ever-changing incentives, rebates, and financing options associated with solar energy in Virginia and Maryland. Prepare detailed and unique proposals with strong and aesthetic presentation. Consult with Project Managers for accurate and detailed proposals. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring the highest level of customer service and customer satisfaction. Meet and exceed sales goals set by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience and certifications in sales is preferred. Excellent communication, persuasion, and organization skills with a focus on customer service. Basic understanding of various types of solar technology and system configurations. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Self-motivated with the ability to stay productive through lead generation, client relations, or self-improvement (i.e. certifications). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Benefits Competitive base salary and commission structure.
