The Law Enforcement Records Unit resides within the Field Services Branch and supports investigations, training, boating investigations, records, registrations, and backcountry search and rescue. The unit houses physical and digital law enforcement records for CPW’s 400 POST commissioned officers and manages responsibilities such as citation payments, criminal case monitoring, docketing requirements, and coordination with other agencies. The unit also maintains the Body‑Worn Camera (BWC) program, integrates BWCs into reporting, evidence uploads, and records requests through CORA guidelines. Description of Job Job Duties This position serves as the subject‑matter expert for Body‑Worn Cameras and manages the program across all dimensions, including technical support, procurement, vendor liaison, and integration with the Records Management System (RAMS). Administration : Manage BWC contracting, procurement of 450 cameras, inventory tracking, coordination with OIT for network portals, and ensure contracts and procurements align with grant funding goals. Act as primary liaison for Axon products and platforms, including TASER program logistics and future contracts. Serve as the primary lead for training officers and administrators on BWC operation and policy. Provide general administrative support within the Field Services Branch as needed. Minimum Qualifications Seven (7) years of relevant experience in natural resources, criminal justice, records administration, training, or law enforcement database experience with entry, retrieval, and maintenance of data files and redacting experience. OR a combination of related education and relevant experience in natural resources, criminal justice, records administration, training, or law enforcement database experience equaling seven (7) years. Preferred Qualifications Current or former State experience. Current or former Colorado Parks and Wildlife experience. Knowledge of Axon products and platforms. Experience supporting interpretation of regulations, statutes, and policies. Excellent customer service skills, problem‑solving abilities, and critical thinking. Parks and wildlife‑related knowledge or experience. Demonstrates initiative and self‑motivation. Keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well independently as well as in or with a team. Required Competencies Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
