Associate Attorney - Family Law

Our client is a growing family law practice in downtown Orlando seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Associate Attorney - Family Law

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, confidence in the courtroom, excellent organizational abilities, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients throughout all phases of family law litigation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Independently manage an active caseload while maintaining strong client communication.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with the Managing Attorney.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing practices.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with clients while providing compassionate and practical legal guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable ethical and professional obligations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Family law experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Client-focused approach with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior litigation experience.
• Mediation experience.
• Trial experience.
• Experience with PracticePanther or other legal practice management software.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
