Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Melvindale, MI

Key responsibilities include managing new child find evaluations for 3-5-year-olds, serving Early Childhood Special Education programs, working with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom for Kindergarten and 1st grade, and supporting K-2 cross-categorical classes. The work schedule runs weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering a consistent routine and work-life balance. There is a strong likelihood this role will be extended into the 2026-2027 school year, offering excellent continuity and growth.


Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Active State Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; SLP-CFY also considered
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy SLP services
• Background in Early Childhood Special Education and/or Autism educational support is a plus
• Ability to facilitate and interpret child find evaluations
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech/language assessments and ongoing therapy for students ages 3-7
• Participate in IEP development and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Support ASD and cross-categorical classroom teachers
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administrators
