Quality Engineer

Quality Assurance ManagerESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Uphold the Carlex Quality PolicyMaintain plant compliance to IATF-16949:2024 and ISO 9001:2024 standards as well as customer defined quality systems and requirementsLead the development of production documentation including Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA and Standardized Work to PPAP requirementsMonitor customer supplied warranty data and supplier PPAP files and respond accordinglyOversee the evaluation of process audits and finished product inspections for quality and reliabilityIn conjunction with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager, develop internal quality control standards for the plantEnsure quality systems and procedures are maintained and effectively used by all associatesCommunicate significant quality issues throughout all levels of the CompanyDevelop and maintain a partnership-style relationship with customers and suppliersWork closely with other plant team members to address the day to day problems and improve product and process qualityOccasionally travel to the assembly plants to review products and interact with customer personnelBe knowledgeable all government-required testing, reporting and recordkeeping as required by FMVSS-205, ECER43, CCC, and other country regulationsREQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or another technical field required, or; High School diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years relevant manufacturing Quality experience requiredIATF Internal Auditor certification is requiredIATF Lead Auditor preferredYears of Experience: 3+ years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment with an undergraduate Degree or 8+ years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment with a High School Diploma or equivalentOther Requirements: Recent training in Core Tools, or willingness to receive training within the first year in the position; Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5-S, Total Quality Concepts, and Six Sigma; Possess a robust understanding of the IATF and ISO standards and their implementation in an automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 facility; Valid driver's license required for business travel; Regular and predictable attendance required; Off-schedule hours may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIES:Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPointHands-on approach to problem solving and analysisExcellent Analytical SkillsAbility and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and TrustEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
