Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem will:

1. Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.
2. Prepare patient for ultrasound procedure- this includes proper clothing, educating patient and family - if pediatric patient ease fears.
3. Assist Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis.
4. Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure.
5. Accurately record a complete technologist 'note' to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.

Requirements:

• Graduate from approved school of medical ultrasound technology.
• RDMS required.
• Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Salary Range: 48.00 - 48.00 USD

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
