Employee Type Full Time Hourly Description The Clinic Registration Clerk – Float provides friendly, efficient, and accurate registration support across multiple clinic locations and departments. This position serves as a flexible member of the clinic team, assisting with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and other front-office duties wherever coverage is needed. Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Register patients accurately and efficiently for clinic appointments. Verify patient demographics, identification, insurance, and eligibility information. Obtain required signatures, forms, and consents. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed. Answer incoming calls and direct patients to the appropriate department or staff member. Collect copays, deductibles, and other applicable payments. Provide patients with information regarding appointments, clinic procedures, and registration requirements. Float between clinic departments and locations to provide registration coverage as needed. Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record system. Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, clinical staff, and other departments. Assist with resolving registration, scheduling, or insurance issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-desk environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous healthcare registration, medical office, customer service, or clerical experience preferred. Strong computer and data‑entry skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment. Must be flexible and comfortable working in different clinic areas as needed.
