We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent to manage an assigned client base and provide comprehensive tax preparation, planning, accounting, and advisory services. This is a year-round position for a knowledgeable tax professional who can independently evaluate complex tax matters and provide proactive guidance to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, with a strong emphasis on:
• • Form 1040 – Individual Income Tax Returns
  • Form 1120 – C Corporation Returns
  • Form 1120-S – S Corporation Returns
  • Form 990 – Tax-Exempt Organization Returns
  • Form 709 – Gift Tax Returns
• Manage an assigned portfolio of individual and business clients.
• Research and apply current federal and state tax laws.
• Identify tax-planning opportunities and advise clients on tax-efficient strategies.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist clients with tax-resolution matters.
• Review client financial records for accuracy and tax compliance.
• Provide accounting, tax-planning, and advisory services outside of tax season.
• Communicate complex tax matters to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Monitor filing deadlines, estimated tax requirements, and other compliance obligations.
• Work closely with bookkeeping and accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential client records.

Qualifications

• Active Enrolled Agent credential in good standing.
• Extensive knowledge of federal tax law and filing requirements.
• Demonstrated experience preparing Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 990, and 709.
• Experience handling multistate returns and complex individual and business tax matters is preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge and the ability to analyze financial statements and general ledgers.
• Experience providing tax-planning and advisory services.
• Ability to manage an assigned client base independently.
• Strong tax-research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, discretion, and client-service focus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm filing deadlines.
