Your broad design knowledge will serve you well in this role as you make your mark on our exciting range of projects. This role will typically analyze and design structural systems for steel and concrete buildings using the appropriate building codes and be in close collaboration with other disciplines within a multi-discipline environment.As a key part of the team, your responsibilities will be varied but will broadly include:Preparation and verification of detailed engineering designs, drawings, documents and specificationsUndertake detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems of building structuresTake the lead in managing project development and deliverables with the teamReviewing project work and deliverables to meet expected high levels of quality against project schedules Guide and help develop less experienced team members in order to achieve project success and team goalsCreate 3D structural analysis models using commercial software, including RAM, SAP, ETABS, SAFE, etcSet up, manage and review job/project administrative systems, including planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditureUnder guidance of project leadership, attend and participate in meetings with the client, and other design team members Your skills and experience 5+ years of experience of innovative structural building engineering designRelevant master's degreeProfessional Engineer (P.E.)Structural Engineer (S.E.) is a plusThorough knowledge and understanding of US Building Codes and Professional Standards with expertise in seismic designBroad structural design knowledge from working on a wide range of projectsExperience with wide range of material, including the design of steel, concrete and mass timber building structuresConfident and proactive character with ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with ability to work independentlyExperience in Performance-based seismic design and Seismic devices (base isolation, hysteretic / viscous dampers, etc.) is a plusGood working experience with BIM tools such as REVITPassion for sustainability and reducing the environmental impact on projectsExperience with or willing to learn computation design methods, using Rhino, Grasshopper is a plusWhat we offer Salary range of $95,000 to $115,000.
