Clinical Research Assistant

The Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) supports the day-to-day execution of clinical research trials conducted at NDx Clinical Research. This is an entry-level clinical research position designed for an individual interested in developing experience in clinical trial operations, patient care, and research coordination. The Clinical Research Assistant works closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators, and other members of the research team to support study visits, maintain research supplies and documentation, perform clinical procedures, and assist with administrative and operational study activities. As part of the role, the Clinical Research Assistant is expected to develop familiarity with NDx's active clinical trials, study protocols, and research workflows. Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. The Clinical Research Assistant will also interact directly with research participants through scheduling, visit preparation, clinical procedures, and other study-related activities. A professional, patient-centered approach and strong interpersonal skills are required. Clinical Research Assistant Responsibilities Assist Clinical Research Coordinators with the preparation and completion of research participant visits. Review study protocols and study-specific materials to develop familiarity with active clinical trials and visit requirements. Prepare study rooms, supplies, documents, and equipment for scheduled research visits. Collect and document vital signs in accordance with study requirements. Perform ECGs and other protocol-required clinical procedures within the individual's training and delegated responsibilities. Perform blood draws and collect other biological specimens, as trained and delegated. Process, package, and ship blood, urine, and other specimens according to study protocols, laboratory manuals, and applicable IATA requirements. Assist with participant scheduling, appointment confirmation, and visit preparation. Provide professional and courteous communication to research participants and caregivers. Monitor and maintain required temperature logs for research equipment, investigational product storage areas, and/or biological specimen storage, as assigned. Maintain inventory of research and laboratory supplies and identify items requiring replenishment. Request and obtain outside medical records needed for study eligibility review or trial participation. Assist with maintaining organized study materials, supplies, equipment, and research workspaces. Support Clinical Research Coordinators with study-related administrative and operational tasks. Complete assigned responsibilities in accordance with study protocols, site SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and applicable regulatory requirements. Review email and other internal communications regularly and respond to study-related requests in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators, and other research staff regarding assigned tasks and participant needs. Escalate questions, concerns, protocol discrepancies, or potential compliance issues to the appropriate team member. Participate in research team meetings, study training, and ongoing professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare, science, psychology, or related field preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, laboratory, or patient-facing environment preferred. Previous clinical research experience is a plus. Phlebotomy experience or willingness to complete phlebotomy training preferred. Comfortable learning clinical procedures, research protocols, electronic systems, and regulatory requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally and compassionately with research participants and caregivers. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical research team.
