Hourly Pay Range: $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Certified Surgical Technologist - Day Surgery Center Operating Room Location: Arlington Heights, IL Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week Hours: 7am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday Required Travel: No What you will do: Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately. Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure. Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.
