Pharmacy TechnicianTareen Dermatology is hiring for a full-time Pharmacy Technician. We are a growing physician-owned Dermatology practice located in the Twin Cities Metro.Job Responsibilities:Receive prescriptions from Tareen Dermatology providers. Capture appropriate patient information.Process electronic and written prescriptions quickly and accurately. This includes new and refill prescriptions.Assist in preparation and dispensing of medications, including insurance adjudication, counting, labeling, and selling. Complete basic tasks without the review of others.Resolve insurance issues, including step therapy, prior authorizations, and drug utilization review per department policy.Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the computer system.Complete special orders or projects to meet customer needs.Respond to internal and external customer and employee inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.Take inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed.Handle cash register transactions accurately.Performs administrative duties as assigned.Assist in inventory control duties as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Supply and inventory management skillsAttention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to create a safe and productive environmentExemplary customer service skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsDependable team playerAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independentlyMaintain a good attendance recordEducation and Experience:High school or equivalent required1-2 year prior healthcare or pharmacy experience preferred.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
