Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and compassionate support throughout childbirth processes. Responsible for assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs.
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures.
• Document patient conditions, treatment plans, and procedures accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, providing critical interventions as needed.
• Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
• Proficient in the use of Epic electronic health record system.
• Demonstrate prior experience in Labor and Delivery or maternal health settings.
• Possess strong assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Willing to work the scheduled shifts and step down if required.
