Step into an impactful contract opportunity where you will serve as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational setting near Lusby, MD. As part of the Department of Student Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, behavioral, and emotional well-being of students. This full-time, in-person assignment runs from August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027, providing a rich, hands-on experience in a dynamic district.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Maryland School Psychology License
- Previous experience as a school psychologist or intern, with a strong understanding of school-based psychological services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work seamlessly with students, staff, and families
- Ability to conduct individual and group assessments, develop interventions, and monitor progress
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive school psychological services—including assessments, consultations, and direct interventions—to a manageable caseload in collaboration with the Department of Student Services
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement strategies that support students' academic and social-emotional success
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and related processes to ensure student needs are met
- Provide crisis intervention and timely support, serving as a critical resource for both prevention and immediate response
- Document services and maintain confidential records according to district and legal standards
