Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Services Nurse for an Adult Acute Care Unit located in Iowa City, Iowa. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care within a 30-bed medical surgical unit that serves a diverse patient population, including specialized surgical patients such as ENT, plastic reconstructive surgery, and trauma cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Iowa City, IA
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts), minimum hours per week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Education: valid nursing license; Experience: 2 years of level 1 trauma experience; Location: Iowa City, Iowa; No minimum years of experience required beyond stated;
• Schedule: 12-hour nights shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, trauma experience
• Additional Information: Must have level 1 trauma experience. The unit specializes in adult acute care including wound management, electrolyte imbalances, respiratory diseases, and complex surgical conditions such as tracheotomies, laryngectomies, facial reconstruction, and hernia repairs. The unit values individualized patient care with highly skilled multidisciplinary teams.
