Dietary Aide PositionLocation: High Point Inpatient Campus - Plymouth, MAPay Range: $20-24/hrStatus: Part TimeHigh Point & Affiliated Organizations (HPAO) is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.RequirementsMust present as courteous and professional at all timesDemonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasksMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashionProficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO's electronic medical recordsMust have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative mannerAn understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programsAn understanding of boundaries and ethicsComply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA RegulationsCertification in the HPAO approved de-escalation programMust be able to lift a minimum of 50lbsDuties & ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of Infection Control standards-hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, blood spill kits, etc.Record all food temperatures prior to servingStock assigned unitsSet up dish area and dining roomSet up and serve assigned meals according to facility/location proceduresWash dishes and pans, as neededCleaning and sanitizing assigned areas after all mealsRemove all trash and cardboard after each assigned mealReceiving and storing of dry stock and produce items in assigned storage areasSetting up of salads, desserts, beverages, etc. for meal on the IPU trays (Meadowbrook)Vacuum and mop of storage, kitchen, walk-inAttend mandatory trainingsAdhere to all sanitary and infection control standardsDaily logging of all refrigerator temperatures and monitoring cleanliness of all refrigerators in the nursing stationsUtilizes standard precautions at all timesDemonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient rightsOther duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager, Site Director, or Program Management.QualificationsRecommended High school diploma or GED or work experience.
