Associate Supply Chain Analyst

Job Summary The Associate Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services focusing on contract negotiations and material cost reductions. They will manage supplier/contractor qualification and selection processes by interfacing directly with internal customers. The Analyst will prepare and issue RFPs and other sourcing events, manage contracts and purchase orders, and recommend contract utilization to customers. The role is based in the Houston Corporate office and allows up to two remote days per week based on business needs. Responsibilities Assess customer needs and provide technical procurement expertise during the acquisition process, receipt of goods, and related issues. Prepare and manage RFPs/quotations; conduct bid analysis, facilitate clarifications, and recommend awards. Lead negotiations with suppliers/contractors, developing and executing cost reduction and avoidance strategies. Develop clear contract documentation such as MSAs, work orders, and amendments. Source major materials for development projects and subsea operations. Assist with contract start‑up functions and provide recommendations with relevant department managers. Participate in and lead product standardization processes. Assess emerging opportunities within the supply community. Evaluate contractual relationships, identifying savings realized and new opportunities. Review and recommend sole‑source justifications. Monitor, assess, and adjust sourcing strategies based on supplier and market intelligence. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures internally and externally. Plan actions to meet customer requirements independently. Advise users on simple and medium‑risk contracts and resolve related problems. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of experience in supply chain, overseeing contracts, negotiations, and material costs. Strong SAP experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Desired / Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field. Safety and Physical Requirements: The role is performed in an inside, controlled environment with minimal exposure to hazardous conditions. The incumbent may be required to move or transport items weighing up to 25 lbs. The candidate must complete all essential physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
