Director of People Strategy - Operations

Set priorities for people programs and measure team quality across functions Track new-hire quality and use onboarding and the first 90 days as an assessment window Provide candidate feedback to Talent Acquisition to refine recruiting focus Design performance reviews, calibration sessions, and performance standards Train managers to identify top performers, provide growth opportunities, and address underperformance early Finalize and maintain compensation structures, job levels, pay bands, market benchmarking, and merit/promotion guidelines Oversee employee benefits strategy and vendor management Manage HRIS, data integrations, and data accuracy Build metric dashboards for executive leadership Implement AI and automation to eliminate repetitive HR tasks Lead a team of approximately six people across Total Rewards, Employee Experience, People Systems, AI, and Analytics Shape team structure, set operational standards, and work directly alongside the team Handle handbooks, compliance training, internal communication, and monthly metric decks Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners Identify and retain high performers through career progression, competitive compensation, leadership exposure, and expanded scope Publish compensation and equity frameworks and enable recruiters and managers to explain them Requirements 8-12 years of experience in operations, HR, or program management Track record of personally designing and launching programs that improved company performance standards Experience launching major company-wide initiatives from initial concept to completion Ability to connect hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, compensation, and offboarding as one continuous loop Proven ability to organize unstructured processes into clear, repeatable routines with owners, deadlines, and metrics Hands-on experience building or deploying AI and automation tools to eliminate manual administrative work Ability to build and analyze metric dashboards, configure HR software, specify integrations, and troubleshoot data discrepancies Experience managing teams of five or more people, including directly resolving performance issues Experience working in fast-paced, technology-driven companies where headcount and processes scaled rapidly Willingness to directly handle foundational tasks including handbooks, compliance training, internal communication, and monthly metric decks Demonstrates expertise in designing and implementing HR programs that enhance performance standards, including onboarding, performance reviews, and compensation frameworks. Proficient in managing teams, utilizing AI and automation for efficiency, and building metric dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
