Human Resources Administrator

We are seeking for a Human Resources Administrator in the City of Gardena.

Payrate: $21-25/hr.

Position: Evaluation to Hire!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to support daily HR operations, recruiting activities, onboarding, employee records management, reporting, and payroll-related processes. This role serves as a key administrative resource for employees and leadership while helping ensure compliance and a positive employee experience. This is an evaluation to hire opportunity!

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Coordinate candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and recruitment activities.
• Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
• Assist with new hire orientation and offboarding processes.
• Support I-9 verification, background checks, and employment verifications.
• Generate HR reports and maintain employee files.
• Review timesheets and assist with payroll preparation.
• Support leave administration, including drafting FMLA status letters, maintaining FMLA tracking records, and following up on incomplete or missing documentation.
• Maintain weekly and monthly headcount, labor hour, and workforce reports.
• Update company digital display information and prepare employee service anniversary reports for payroll processing.
• Support HR communications and perform other administrative and HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of HR or administrative experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• HRIS experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
