Now hiring: HR Assistant Location: Carson, CA Pay Rate: $21.55 – $23.00 per hour Day Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM | Monday – Friday Good Office Vibes Only. Be the welcoming face of the company while supporting the Human Resources team. We're looking for a professional, organized, and customer-focused HR Assistant to provide exceptional service and HR support in a fast-paced office. This role also takes on back-up receptionist duties as needed.
HR Assistant Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; HR coursework or certification is a plus.
- 2+ years of receptionist, administrative, or office support experience.
- Human Resources experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems such as ADP.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and professional phone etiquette.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Positive, dependable team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
HR Assistant Job Duties:
- Provide professional front desk coverage by greeting visitors, answering and directing multi-line phone calls, and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Serve as backup receptionist during breaks, lunches, vacations, and other scheduled absences.
- Manage visitor check-in, issue visitor badges, and maintain security and visitor logs.
- Support HR operations by maintaining employee records, scanning personnel files, and entering data into the HRIS system.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, employee training, and badge administration.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, HR projects, and administrative activities.
- Process HR invoices, maintain compliance records, and support temporary staffing documentation.
- Help plan employee engagement events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Perform general administrative, reception, and HR duties as assigned.
