May mentor junior employees, assist with work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management. This position can be based in Albany, NY, Burlington, MA or Boston, MA and will require the ability to travel regionally as needed.Your Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to initiatives to help advance our project design, operations, and business developmentWork in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety and security guidelines and policiesMaintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service providerManage specific task groups or discipline areas within projects and ensure deliverables are produced on time and to quality standards.Assist in establishing project objectives, procedures, and performance standardsCoordinate multi-disciplinary teams on major) projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction servicesPerform internal quality reviews and constructability checks prior to submission to clients.Track and report on progress of design packages, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of the Design Manager.Provide technical leadership on assigned portions of major projects and act as secondary support for client interactions, escalating to the Design Manager as appropriate.Assist with risk and change management tracking, supporting the Design Manager in implementing mitigation strategies.Act as a mentor to junior engineers and designers by providing guidance and technical direction.Support efforts to grow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec’s reputation and assist with talent recruitment.Lead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management and quality managementYour Capabilities and CredentialsExperience serving as a Deputy Design Manager or in a design coordination role on large, complex transportation projects.
