Job DescriptionJob DescriptionUni-Fab Industries is looking for an outstanding motivated person to manage the Mechanical & Electrical Assembly department. We are looking for the best to join our rapidly growing companyKey Job Responsibilities:Schedule and prioritize orders efficiently hit deadlinesManage and solve problems throughout the assembly process tokeep orders on schedule, within budget, and meet deadlinesCommunicate and work with all departments as necessary to keep orders on schedule, within budget, and meet deadlinesRecommend, implement, and enforce solutions, procedures, and methods to improve quality and productivity as a result of post job analysisAnalyze production and individual work center capacity and make adjustments as necessary to meet production demands (i.e., hire, cross training, extending shifts,adding shifts, etc.)Evaluate and establish effective plans to manage and optimize space requirements for assembly projectsReview, manage, and ensure proper labor and job cost reportingInterview and hire quality employeesConduct regular, structured employee evaluations to effectively evaluate and develop a trained staffResponsible for planning, discussing and completing reports about the production and the staffLead and supervise a team of 20-25 personnelResponsible for the overall safety, quality, performance of the teamCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and proceduresAccountability for meeting and exceeding operational goalsStrategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance, resolve problems; andaddress staffing needsMentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learningManage all Mechanical & Electrical AssemblyManage BOMs and documentation of all assembled projectsCreate Operational Method Sheet documentationTechnical Background: (Required Skill-set)8-10 years’ experience in contract manufacturingExtensive Mechanical assembly backgroundExtensive Electrical assembly backgroundElectrical testing capabilitiesUnderstands and has created OMS’s for assembliesRequired:Management & Supervisor TrainingSelf-motivated & Self-starterInnovativeTeam playerCommunicationEducational BackgroundEngineering Degree (ME or EE) a plusJust out of college or about to graduate
