Drywall Finisher

PeopleLink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a prominent client in Romulus, Michigan within the Modular Home Manufacturing industry.

Drywall Finisher Job Summary:

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00/hour based on experience.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday, with occasional overtime available on Fridays as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Apply drywall tape and smooth drywall compound on seams, corners, and angles in preparation for painting or wall covering.

Sand drywall surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish.

Mix and match textures to match pre-existing walls or to meet project specifications.

Perform drywall touch-ups as needed to correct imperfections in wall surfaces.

Install corner beads and inspect the quality of finish work to ensure it meets company standards.

Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment, such as sanders and trowels.

Follow quality standards and ensure finished product aligns with the company's craftsmanship expectations for modular home construction.

Engage in other related duties and responsibilities as directed by management.

Drywall Finisher Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, and sanding.

Experience working with modular homes or construction preferred.

Familiarity with different drywall finishes and textures (smooth, knockdown, etc.).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Must have reliable transportation to the job site.

Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Must demonstrate and maintain a courteous and professional attitude.
