The company values collaboration, respect, and a commitment to responsible farming and distilling practices. Role Description The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kula, HI. This position supports the accounting team with daily financial tasks, including processing invoices, recording transactions, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable. The role involves data entry into accounting software, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and helping prepare basic financial reports. The Accounting Assistant will maintain organized financial records, support month-end and year-end close activities, and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and account status. This team member will collaborate with operations, production, and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Qualifications Strong foundation in Accounting and Bookkeeping, including debits/credits, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations. Experience using Accounting Software and basic familiarity with related office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP or POS systems). Ability to assist with Financial Statements by compiling data, reviewing for accuracy, and supporting report preparation. Understanding of Finance principles relevant to budgeting, cost tracking, and cash flow support. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, ideally in manufacturing, agriculture, beverage, or hospitality, is a plus.
