Franchise & Transactional Paralegal – Contract-to-Hire

Location: Falls Church, VA

Schedule: On-Site for First 6 Months | Hybrid Opportunity Thereafter

Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 DOE + Overtime

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are partnering with a highly respected boutique law firm in the Falls Church, VA area to add an experienced Paralegal to its growing legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys transactional, corporate, regulatory, and deadline-driven work and wants to join a collaborative environment offering strong long-term stability and work-life balance.

The firm is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and become fully trained ahead of its busiest season.

What You'll Do

• Support attorneys with the preparation, review, filing, and management of franchise and transactional documents
• Assist with Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), registrations, renewals, and franchise agreements
• Communicate with regulatory agencies and help coordinate state filings
• Track regulatory and statutory deadlines and ensure filings and follow-up activities are completed accurately and on time
• Assist with corporate filings, governance documentation, and other transactional matters
• Support M&A due diligence and preparation of closing documents and binders
• Draft and prepare notices, correspondence, and legal documentation
• Provide occasional litigation support, including pleadings, electronic court filings, document review, and exhibit preparation
• Work closely with attorneys and other paralegals to manage multiple client matters and competing deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years of paralegal experience within a law firm or corporate legal department
• Franchise experience is highly desirable but not required
• Corporate, transactional, regulatory, licensing, or similar legal experience is strongly transferable
• Demonstrated stability and longevity throughout your career
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage deadline-sensitive filings
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with legal research, docketing, and electronic filing systems is a plus

Schedule & Work Environment

This position will be 100% on-site during the first six months to allow for hands-on training and integration with the legal team.

After successful completion of the initial training period, employees may have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week based on performance .

Standard business hours are approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM .

The firm's busiest period typically runs from January through mid-April , when some overtime is required to meet regulatory filing deadlines. Outside of busy season, the environment offers excellent work-life balance and a more relaxed pace.

Compensation & Benefits

$65,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience, plus overtime compensation.
