Amada Press Brake Operator, CNC Setup — Tualatin, OR
Imagine a rush order hits the floor. You review the drawing, choose the tooling, map the bend sequence, and dial in the CNC program. Minutes later, precise parts stack up, tolerances locked in. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, this role is for you.
Your impact- Operate and set up hydraulic press brakes to form sheet metal components to exact specs.
- Own CNC setups and changeovers to keep production agile.
- Interpret blueprints, templates, and technical drawings for accurate layouts.
- Plan operations using knowledge of material behavior and bend deductions.
- Run supporting equipment: notchers, rolls, hardware insertion machines, and CNC RAS panel benders.
- Perform routine hydraulic maintenance, troubleshoot, and make adjustments for peak performance.
- Measure, inspect, and correct to maintain tight tolerances and top quality.
- Work with teammates to improve flow, efficiency, and safety practices.
- Keep the area orderly and safety‑compliant; assist other production areas as needed.
- 1–3 years in press brake operation or related metal fabrication.
- Strong foundation in hydraulics, hydraulic components, and mechanical systems.
- Hands‑on CNC setup, tooling selection, and machine adjustment experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, bend deduction charts, and fabrication drawings.
- Background with hydraulic press brakes; familiarity with RAS panel benders is a plus.
- Knowledge of sheet metal processes and basic hand tools.
- Proven problem‑solver, effective independently and on a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred.
- Stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor.
- Lift 25 lbs or more as necessary.
- Average manual dexterity for handling small tools and components.
