General Manager

Job Overview Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead Hotel Murano, a 319‑room property in Tacoma, Washington. Hotel Murano offers 30,000 square feet of meeting space in 19 versatile rooms and is a unique, artsy destination located in the dynamic city of Tacoma. Key Responsibilities Overall operations, strategy, and growth of the hotel. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to drive hotel growth and profitability. Build trusted, consultative relationships with owners, asset managers, and key stakeholders. Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform business decisions. Lead a diverse and empowered team of department heads and staff, fostering collaboration and motivation. Oversee front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, banquets, event space, spa, and more. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Sales, and Engineering to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. Monitor service quality to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction. Create and manage the hotel’s budget, allocating resources across departments. Analyze variances, implement corrective actions, and drive revenue generation. Prioritize personalized service and continuous improvement in guest experience. Manage the hotel’s physical assets and oversee sustainability initiatives. Maintain regulatory compliance and health & safety standards. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive hotel hospitality experience, with preference for independent hotel leadership. College degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism Management, or equivalent education and experience. Union experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of Washington employment laws. Strong hotel finance, commercial strategy, and facilities management acumen. Exceptional leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to collaborate with owners, asset managers, and stakeholders. Commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive, organized work environment. Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
