Shift Coordinator - Mountain View Village, Utah

Salt & Straw is expanding to Utah! We're on the lookout for experienced Shift Coordinators to help launch our first Utah shops, create unforgettable guest experiences, and support Scoopers in delivering legendary hospitality. You'll play a key role in bringing Salt & Straw to a new community, coaching team members, and making every guest interaction memorable.

What Shift Coordinators Do

• Guide Scoopers throughout the shift, delegating tasks and ensuring breaks, station rotations, and safety habits are followed
• Support daily operations: scooping, waffling, running the register, dishwashing, cleaning, and hosting
• Deliver exceptional service, thoughtfully resolving guest concerns
• Coordinate opening, closing, and daily shop tasks to maintain operational excellence
• Assist in training, coaching, and modeling best practices for team members
• Pack Third-Party Delivery orders with accuracy and attention to quality
• Conduct inventory counts, monitor product quality, and maintain food safety standards
• Handle daily cash transactions accurately and follow cash handling protocols
• Track team feedback and operational notes in daily logbooks
• Taste and learn our flavors to confidently share with guests
• Foster a positive, engaging work environment that reflects Salt & Straw's mission and values

What You'll Get

Pay: $17/hr base pay + pooled tips, which typically average $24-25/hr (Based on historical shop performanceactual tips may vary)

This Role Might Be Right If You:

• Have a high school diploma/GED
• Bring 6+ months (1+ year preferred) of food service, fast-casual, or hospitality experience
• Are 18+ and can work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Have a valid food handler's card (or can get one within 30 days)
• Can coach, motivate, and support team members with clarity and care
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Love delivering outstanding guest experiences and sharing our flavors
