Role Description The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Plainfield, IL. This position is responsible for greeting customers, identifying their needs, and presenting new and pre-owned vehicles in a clear and professional manner. Day-to-day tasks include conducting test drives, explaining vehicle features and benefits, discussing pricing, and guiding customers through financing and leasing options. The Sales Associate will prepare and review sales documents, follow up with prospective and existing customers, and maintain accurate records in the dealership's CRM system. The role also involves working closely with the finance and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and meeting individual and team sales goals. Qualifications Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and respond to customer needs. Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, professional phone etiquette, and confident in-person presentations. Basic business and finance understanding, with the ability to explain leasing, financing, and warranty options in an accessible way. Organization and time management skills, including maintaining accurate records, managing multiple customer interactions, and following up promptly. Comfort with technology, such as dealership CRM systems, email, and basic office software. Ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Previous automotive sales or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn product knowledge and dealership processes is essential.
