Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Odessa, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/20/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 20, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an ICU/PCU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and TX or compact RN licensure.Details\n \n Support a newly opened PCU with possible ICU patient care\n Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients, floating between units as needed based on census\n MS/Tele ratios of 6:1; Critical Care ratios of 2:1\n Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00\n Cerner charting system experience preferred\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of recent experience in ICU/PCU setting required\n Cerner charting experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Trauma Level II experience preferred\n Experience with critical care skills such as arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, and cardiac drip titration\n Neuro care experience including EVD, intracranial bleed, and post-TPA care preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care across ICU, PCU, and MS/Tele units as needed\n Utilize skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team participation\n Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with zero tolerance for positive results\n Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible\n Local candidates are not accepted\n First-time travelers are not considered for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757475.
