Product Design Engineer

Advanced Design EngineerThe Advanced Design Engineer is an integral part of our technical team supporting the sales and manufacturing process as well as driving product innovation across the Company’s many product lines and market segments. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! This Engineer will be responsible for new equipment design and documentation and sales order and manufacturing support. This Position will be a member of various process improvement and innovation project teams and will assist in developing and establishing various processes and procedures with the objective being to maximize and streamline engineering and production efficiency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead new product development projects from product conception through production launch.Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support and solutions to manufacturing and salesProvide technical and engineering support for active sales orders completing custom designs, technical calculations, Bill of Materials, & drawing requirementsPoint of contact for sales, service and manufacturing for assigned sales orders and projectsLead or participant in key product and process improvement initiativesDevelop and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement actionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringEngineering experience in a manufacturing environmentEngineering and technical support in the design, engineer and build to order equipment market of any type.Strong understanding of the product development process and the use of project management toolsKnowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems involved with designed, engineered and build to order industrial equipment.Strong analytical, problem solving, and process improvement skillsExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsProven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire/ability to work in a team environmentUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing initiatives (continuous improvement and Six Sigma) desiredPro-Engineer/Creo 3D modeling experience a plusWe’re looking for individuals with high level of initiative who are interested in a long-range career growth.
