Position Title Cook I Employment Classification Non‑Exempt Reporting To General Manager Department Dining Division Duties and Responsibilities Embed a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service with a smile. Prepare food with 100% recipe adherence; follow recipes or product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, portioning, and serving. Maintain production prep list, record accuracy, requisition supplies and equipment as needed. Use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely; wash, slice, and peel items on prep list. Store prepared food safely and date‑label items per brand standards. Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices, complying with all local, state, and federal regulations. Restock kitchen supplies and food items, assist with ordering and planning supplies as directed, report equipment repair and maintenance. Monitor rotation and dating of prepped food items, maintain clean and organized work environment free of safety hazards. Work well in a fast‑paced environment, detail oriented, multi‑tasking; perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, Certifications Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience; high volume or fast‑casual dining preferred. ServeSafe Certification or equivalent required by state. High School Diploma or GED. Position Qualifications Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team‑oriented environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Excellent customer service skills and effective communication in English. Self‑starter able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Adaptability to changing priorities and unexpected situations. Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics in English. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, gripping, climbing ladders, and walking long distances.
