The Veterinary Supervisor, Internal Medicine oversees nursing staff and day‑to‑day department operations, working 25% administrative and 75% clinical. Compensation Up to $7,000 Sign‑On Bonus. Responsibilities Serve as a clinical leader while actively participating in patient care and operational support of Internal Medicine. Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. Manage daily workflows and staffing for efficient department operations and patient care. Create and adjust staff schedules based on patient volume and departmental needs. Conduct interviews, assist with hiring decisions, and support onboarding of new team members. Complete performance evaluations and provide coaching, development, and feedback. Oversee payroll processing, attendance management, and paid time off requests. Partner with hospital leadership on performance management and compensation. Collaborate with the Clinical Trainer to implement educational initiatives and training programs. Foster an inclusive culture, assist with conflict resolution and employee engagement. Ensure proper utilization and availability of equipment, supplies, and resources. Support hospital initiatives, departmental goals, and continuous improvement. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current enrollment in an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program is a plus for non‑credentialed applicants. Associate’s Degree preferred. LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred. Minimum of two years experience as a veterinary nursing team member. Minimum of one year leadership or supervisory experience. Experience leading teams in specialty, emergency, or referral environments preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced specialty hospital environment. Fluent English (speaking and reading) required.
