Division Overview:Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.Location:Nichols, NYSalary:We offer competitive salary $105,000.00 to $125,000.00*Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level*This position has the responsibilities to coordinate all production planning activities for the Nichols, New York manufacturing operation that is part of the North American Beverage Division. This individual will be involved with the daily activities of production, inventory, warehousing and distribution for the finished products being produced at this location. The ideal candidate for this position must be an advocate for production planning best practices and standardization at the plant level.Responsibilities and accountabilities for this Manager role include but are not restricted to the following areas:Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical dataInteract with production and sales personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments.Manage volume and manufacturing location changes between factories as needed to meet customer requirementsMonitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished good in an effort to minimize costs and achieve Division inventory goalsOversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability for the DivisionTrain and audit plant personnel for compliance in department standards and practicesAssure inside sales and plants utilize the system through on-site auditing and clear tracking metricsMaintain accurate needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvementDrive continuous improvement through training, tool development, and strategic planningJob RequirementsBS degree in business, logistics, management or related area5+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling roleCertificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desiredKnowledge of AS400 operating systems is a plusExperience in manufacturing, operational, and customer driven environmentsProven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel, Access and WordAbility to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completionCapable of managing changing business needs and requirementsProven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations, and taking calculated initiative to drive improvementsEffective oral and written communicationsDemonstrated project management, time management and organizational skillsWhat Crown Offers You Strong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employeesThe opportunity to build a meaningful career Professional and personal development through training and work experiences Join us and become part of a team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!Working Together Working Together is one of the five pillars that make up our Twentyby30 program.
