RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate all aspects of commercial loan processing from approval through closing and funding.
• Review loan documentation and closing packages to ensure consistency with approved credit terms, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage pre-closing due diligence, including appraisals, environmental reports, title work, insurance, flood determinations, and UCC filings.
• Coordinate loan closings with borrowers, attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure proper collateral perfection, lien recording, mortgage filing, and ongoing collateral maintenance.
• Board, maintain, and service commercial loans within core and ancillary lending systems.
• Monitor and manage the commercial loan pipeline to ensure timely progression and closing of transactions.
• Administer post-closing activities, including document review, exception tracking, and file maintenance.
• Coordinate annual reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring requirements.
• Track and collect financial statements, tax returns, covenant reporting, insurance coverage, and other borrower reporting requirements.
• Maintain and manage commercial loan tickler systems to ensure timely receipt of required documentation.
• Support portfolio risk management by monitoring exceptions, covenant compliance, and risk rating accuracy.
• Administer commercial loan modifications, renewals, extensions, assumptions, payoffs, and lien releases.
• Prepare and distribute portfolio reporting, pipeline reports, exception reports, and other management reporting.
• Assist with internal audits, external audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Maintain commercial lending procedures, operational controls, and documentation standards.
• Serve as the operational subject matter expert for commercial lending products, systems, and processes.
• Identify and implement workflow, system, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, portfolio quality, and member service.
• Support internal business lending referrals
• Support Treasury Management onboarding and maintenance activities, including business deposit account setup, online banking administration, ACH origination, remote deposit capture, positive pay, wire services, and related commercial cash management products.
• Partner with Treasury Management service provider to facilitate implementation, servicing, and ongoing support of treasury management solutions, while monitoring documentation, user access, agreements, and operational risk controls.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is of a generally sedentary nature with limited need to lift or otherwise move objects (10 lbs or under). Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Requires manual dexterity and visual ability to work at a computer terminal, utilize keyboard, telephone and other standard office equipment. Must also be able to deliver and receive verbal communication.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of commercial loan processing experience or commercial lending operations experience
• Experience with CRE loans required
• Credit union experience preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and collateral perfection
• Familiarity with UCC filings, title policies, environmental reports, and construction draws
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations (NCUA, FHLB, HMDA, ECOA) and risk management principles
• Experience with loan origination (Salesforce) systems and core banking systems (Epysis, Symitar, Synergy, Jack Henry)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple complex files
