Job Description

Continental Floral Greens is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support our Miami-area operations . This role is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout harvesting, processing, packaging, and shipping. The Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in protecting product integrity, supporting customer specifications, and promoting continuous improvement across operations.

This is a hands-on, non-exempt position working in warehouse and field environments , ideal for individuals with experience in quality control within agriculture, floriculture, food production, or manufacturing .

Key Responsibilities (Workday Responsibilities Field)

• Inspect floral greens at harvest, post-processing, packaging, and shipping stages to ensure quality and specification compliance
• Monitor production lines and inventory for consistency and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards
• Evaluate incoming raw materials and communicate quality issues with suppliers and internal teams
• Document quality inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and quality metrics
• Stop and report incoming or outgoing shipments that do not meet quality standards
• Verify packaging, temperature control, accuracy, and overall shipment readiness
• Operate warehouse equipment including lift trucks, hand trucks, and stretch wrap banders
• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to operations, farms, suppliers, and sales partners
• Support training on quality control procedures and safety protocols
• Participate in process improvement and product development initiatives
• Maintain accurate records to support audits, inspections, and internal reporting
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Act in alignment with Continental Floral Greens' mission, values, and quality standards

Required Qualifications (Workday Minimum Qualifications Field)

• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality control role
• Experience in agriculture, floriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret quality specifications and technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications (Workday Preferred Qualifications Field)

• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
• Familiarity with quality tracking or inspection reporting systems
• Experience working in production, warehouse, or agricultural operations

Certifications Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication and analytical skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic quality documentation tools
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Commitment to teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
