About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department by maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, answering employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies, co-coordinating onboarding procedures, and generally supporting day-to-day HR operations, acting as the first point of contact for employees on HR related matters. The position serves as a resource to faculty, staff, and supervisors while ensuring adherence to policies, employment laws, accreditation requirements, and institutional procedures. The HR Generalist also provides general administrative support, clerical support and secretarial services, scheduling, communications, document production and organization, travel coordination, inventory, purchasing, and other administrative duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Education :

• Associate Degree in Human Resources or related discipline from an accredited college or university required; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement if relevant.

Experience:

• Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
• Proven history in roles requiring data integrity and compliance.
• Two years of administrative, generalist, or related experience.
• Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

• Valid Oklahoma driver's license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Skills and Abilities :

• Excellent customer service and strong mathematical skills are mandatory.
• Proficient in spelling, punctuation, proper business English and excellent vocabulary.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel.
