Assistant Project Manager

Summary Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial electrical construction projects throughout Southern California. This role will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, general contractors, vendors, and clients to coordinate project activities, documentation, schedules, and costs. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and looking to grow within the commercial electrical construction industry.

- Support Project Managers with the coordination and administration of commercial electrical projects.
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project correspondence.
- Track material orders, deliveries, and project requirements.
- Assist with project billing, cost tracking, and documentation.
- Attend project meetings and maintain accurate meeting notes and action items.
- Help identify and resolve project issues and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
- Support project closeout and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Maintain organized project files and records.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction or a related project coordination role.
- Electrical construction experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of construction plans, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
- Experience with commercial projects such as restaurants, hotels, retail, or tenant improvements is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
