Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Outpatient Clinic

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to manage patient flow and support providers in delivering compassionate, individualized outpatient care across diverse patient populations (infants through geriatrics). In this role, you will perform clinical rooming, administer medications/immunizations, conduct lab specimen collection, and execute delegable patient care tasks in collaboration with clinic supervisors and healthcare providers.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Medical Assistant Pay Range: $22.23 – $27.37 / hour (commensurate with experience)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Pay Range: $24.50 – $32.77 / hour (commensurate with experience)
• Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Patient Flow: Execute standard rooming procedures, record vital signs, document medical histories, and prepare patients for provider evaluations.
• Medications & Admin: Administer injections, immunizations, and prescribed medications under the direction of the supervising provider.
• Laboratory & Specimen Collection: Perform phlebotomy, collect lab specimens, and execute basic point-of-care clinic laboratory testing.
• Administrative & Patient Support: Provide telephone support, process prescription refills, assist with prior authorizations, manage front desk check-ins as needed, and assist with supply inventory stocking.
• Specialized Tasks (If Qualified): Perform limited diagnostic X-ray duties if certified as a credentialed X-ray operator.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• For Medical Assistant (MA) Applicants:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent [Required] .
  • Program Credential: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (e.g., ABHES, CAAHEP) OR graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program with passing RMA certification exam results [Required] .

• For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Applicants:

  • Licensure: Active Practical Nurse (LPN/PN) License [Required] .

• Shared Certifications & Competencies:

  • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification [Required] .
  • Core Competencies: Multidisciplinary communication, patient advocacy, phlebotomy/injection skills, and adaptable clinical workflow management across all age groups.
