Chief of Gynecology Opportunity in Salisbury, NC - Join Our Team! Close to Charlotte & Lake Norman with Affordable Living and a Meaningful Mission!
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic about educating and caring for female veterans while upholding a top-tier gynecologic surgical program.
We are currently in search of a full-time Chief of Gynecology to guide and motivate our gynecology department. This crucial leadership position is vital to our ongoing dedication to delivering outstanding healthcare services to our veterans. Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage disorders of the reproductive system, including endometriosis, infertility, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain.
Provide education to patients regarding disease prevention, detection, reproductive health, and breast examinations.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
Oversee all call coverage arrangements for the department.
Annually, the department sees approximately 900 unique outpatient consultations. The surgical unit manages around 100 inpatient and outpatient cases each year, reporting directly to the chief of surgery.
Affiliated with Wake Forest.
Third-year OB/GYN residents from the Wake Forest OBGYN program will be rotating through the department at all times.
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
- Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is mandatory.
- Licensure: Candidates must hold a current, complete, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is required.
- Active Participation: Must be involved in intraoperative cases.
- Board Certification: Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

- Competitive Salary: Ranges from $300,000 to $365,000.
